Angels' Anderson leaves game

Anaheim, CA (Sports Network) - Angels outfielder Garret Anderson left Sunday's playoff game against the Boston Red Sox due to conjunctivitis in his swollen right eye.

Anderson started the game in left field and flied out to right field in his lone at-bat in the opening inning before being replaced by Reggie Willits.

The Angels entered the contest facing elimination from the postseason, down 2-0 in their best-of-five American League Division Series.
