Angels' Lackey to make first start of seasonAnaheim, CA (Sports Network) - Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim pitcher John Lackey will be activated from the 15-day disabled list and will start Wednesday's game against the Chicago White Sox. Lackey has been sidelined since late in spring training with a strained right triceps but has done well in three rehab starts with Single-A Rancho Cucamonga.
Angels manager Mike Scioscia said that Lackey will not be on a pitch count as
the manager feels that he got enough work done in his rehab stint. Lackey, 29, was the ace of the Angels staff last season as he went 19-9 with a 3.01 earned run average in 33 starts.
