Beckett scratched from startBoston, MA (Sports Network) - Red Sox ace Josh Beckett was a late scratch from Tuesday night's scheduled start at Fenway Park against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim with a stiff neck. Beckett, who is 2-1 with a 5.12 earned run average in three starts this season, has won his last two starts, both against the New York Yankees. Right-hander David Pauley was called up from Triple-A Pawtucket and will start in Beckett's place. Pauley is 1-1 with a 1.17 ERA in three starts in the minors this season, but has not pitched in the majors since going 0-2 with a 7.88 ERA in three starts with Boston in 2006.
