Blue Jays' Wolfe placed on disabled list

Toronto, ON (Sports Network) - Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Brian Wolfe was placed on the 15-day disabled list Thursday with a strained right triceps.

Wolfe was 0-1 with a 3.68 earned run average in eight relief appearances so far this season.

To take Wolfe's spot on the roster, the Jays recalled pitcher David Purcey from Triple-A Syracuse of the International League.
