Detroit's Bautista to DL

Minneapolis, MN (Sports Network) - The Detroit Tigers placed pitcher Denny Bautista on the 15-day disabled list on Saturday with shoulder soreness.

Bautista (0-1) is carrying a 4.05 earned run average through 13 1/3 innings so far this season. The fourth-year player has eight strikeouts and issued 13 walks.

This is the 27-year-old's first year in Detroit, having spent time in Baltimore, Kansas City and Colorado.

In a corresponding move, Detroit purchased the contract of pitcher Freddy Dolsi from Double-A Erie.
