Dodgers activate Kuroda

Houston, TX (Sports Network) - The Los Angeles Dodgers reinstated pitcher Hiroki Kuroda from the 15-day disabled list Wednesday.

He was placed on the DL on June 19, retroactive to June 13, with tendinitis in his right shoulder.

Kuroda was pulled from his last start at San Francisco after allowing six runs in just 2 1/3 innings, this coming off his first major league complete game and shutout against the Cubs on June 6.

The 33-year-old is 3-6 with a 4.04 earned run average in 14 starts this season for Los Angeles.

To make move on the roster, the Dodgers optioned pitcher Clayton Kershaw to Double-A Jacksonville.
