Indians recall Snyder, option SowersChicago, IL (Sports Network) - The Cleveland Indians announced Sunday that they have recalled outfielder Brad Snyder from Triple-A Buffalo, optioning left-handed pitcher Jeremy Sowers to Buffalo in order to clear roster space. Snyder, a first-round draft choice by the Indians in 2003, will be making his major league debut. In 20 games with Buffalo this season Snyder was hitting .236 with five doubles and four home runs.
Sowers made a spot start in Saturday's win over the Yankees, allowing just
three runs on seven hits in 5 1/3 innings. In 28 career games over three
seasons, the lefty is 8-10 with a 4.81 earned run average.
