MLB suspends Royals minor leaguerKansas City, MO (Sports Network) - Major League Baseball suspended Kansas City Royals minor league pitcher Jacob Rodriguez for 50 games after he failed to take a drug test, a violation of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program. The suspension will begin at the start of the 2008 season.
Rodriguez played for the Surprise Royals of the Arizona Rookie League in 2007.
