Marlins' Willingham lands on DL

Miami, FL (Sports Network) - The Florida Marlins placed outfielder Josh Willingham on the 15-day disabled list on Friday with a sore back.

Willingham sat out the Marlins most recent series with the Dodgers. The left fielder was raking the ball before getting injured, batting .341 (31- for-91) with six homers and 16 runs batted in this season.

In a corresponding move, the Marlins recalled outfielder Brett Carroll from Triple-A Albuquerque.
