Mets activate SanchezPort St. Lucie, FL (Sports Network) - The New York Mets activated right- handed pitcher Duaner Sanchez from the 15-day disabled list on Tuesday. The 28-year-old Sanchez has not pitched in a major league game since July 28, 2006 after sustaining a separated right shoulder in a car accident on July 31. He had arthroscopic surgery that ended his season. Last spring, he underwent shoulder surgery to repair a hairline fracture in the front of his right shoulder and missed the entire season. In 210 games with the Arizona Diamondbacks, Pittsburgh Pirates, Los Angeles Dodgers and the Mets, Sanchez has a 13-9 record with a 3.81 earned run average. To make the room for Sanchez, the club optioned right-handed pitcher Carlos Muniz to New Orleans of the Pacific Coast League.
