Phillies close to signing Feliz

Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - The Philadelphia Phillies are reportedly close to signing free-agent third baseman Pedro Feliz to a two-year deal.

According to several sources, the deal will be finalized once Feliz passes a physical.

The 32-year old has spent all eight of his seasons in the majors with San Francisco, totaling 109 home runs along with 418 RBI to go with a .252 average in 874 games.

Last season, he appeared in 150 games and blasted 20 home runs along with 72 RBI and a .253 average.
