Rangers option Loe, Saltalamacchia to minor league camp

Surprise, AZ (Sports Network) - The Texas Rangers optioned pitcher Kameron Loe and catcher Jarrod Saltalamacchia to their minor league camp on Wednesday.

Loe, a 26-year-old right-hander, went 6-11 with a 5.36 ERA in 28 games (23 starts) last season for Texas.

Saltalamacchia was acquired from the Rangers from Atlanta last year in the deal that sent Mark Teixeira to the Braves. In 46 games for Texas, Saltalamacchia hit .252 with seven homers and 21 RBI, after batting .284 in 47 contests for Atlanta.
