Rays place P Reyes on DL

Minneapolis, MN (Sports Network) - The Tampa Bay Rays placed right-handed pitcher Al Reyes on the 15-day disabled list Wednesday, retroactive to April 15, due to an impinged right shoulder.

The 38-year-old Reyes is 1-2 with a 9.00 earned run average in seven games this season.

Left-handed pitcher Kurt Birkins was activated to replace him.
