Red Sox agree to terms with Colon

Boston, MA (Sports Network) - The Boston Red Sox announced on Monday that they have agreed to terms with pitcher Bartolo Colon on a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.

Colon was on the disabled list twice last season with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim and went 6-8 with a 6.34 earned run average in 19 games, 18 of which he started. He was not on the Angels post-season roster.

The 2005 American League Cy Young Award winner has a career record of 146-95 with a 4.10 era in 11 seasons with the Indians, Expos, White Sox and Angels.

Colon is expected to report to spring training on Tuesday.
