Red Sox minor leaguer suspendedNew York, NY (Sports Network) - Major League Baseball suspended Boston Red Sox minor leaguer Victor De La Cruz 50 games after the pitcher tested positive for Stanozolol, a performance-enhancing substance, in violation of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program. The suspension of De La Cruz is effective immediately.
He is currently with Boston's Dominican Summer League team.
