MLB Baseball Trash Talk
Red Sox place P Buchholz on DLBaltimore, MD (Sports Network) - The Boston Red Sox placed pitcher Clay Buchholz on the 15-day disabled list Wednesday with a broken nail on his right hand. The rookie suffered the injury during Monday's 7-3 loss at Minnesota. Buchholz surrendered seven runs and eight hits in just 4 1/3 innings during the game.
In his first full season, Buchholz is 2-3 with a 5.53 earned run average. To take Buchholz's spot on the roster, the Red Sox recalled outfielder Jonathan Van Every from Triple-A Pawtucket.
