Reds place struggling Fogg on DLCincinnati, OH (Sports Network) - The Cincinnati Reds placed starting pitcher Josh Fogg on the 15-day disabled list on Sunday with bask spasms. The club called up right-handed reliever Gary Majewski to fill the roster spot.
Fogg is 1-2 with a 9.85 earned run average in 11 appearance -- four starts --
for the Reds this season. The veteran righty, signed as a free agent in the
offseason, gave up six runs on seven hits in 3 1/3 innings on Saturday in
Cincinnati's 8-7 win in 10 innings over the Atlanta Braves. The 31-year-old has shuttled back and forth between the starting rotation and the bullpen this season due to his struggles. Majewski, 28, has not made an appearance with the big league club this season. He is 8-13 with a 4.22 earned run average in parts of four seasons with the Expos, Nationals, and Reds.
