Rockies' Hirsh has fractured fibula

Denver, CO (Sports Network) - Colorado Rockies pitcher Jason Hirsh had X-rays Wednesday morning that revealed a fractured fibula in his lower right leg.

Hirsh, who was hit in the leg by a line drive on Tuesday night, will be re- evaluated on Thursday morning.

Hirsh is 5-7 this season with a 4.81 earned run average in 19 starts.

Colorado also announced that catcher Edwin Bellorin has been placed on the 15- day disabled list with a strained left hamstring. In a corresponding roster move, catcher Alvin Colina has been recalled from Triple-A Colorado Springs.
