Royals starter Hochevar leaves games

Cleveland, OH (Sports Network) - Kansas City Royals starting pitcher Luke Hochevar left Tuesday's 9-4 loss to the Cleveland Indians with tightness in his right ribcage.

Hochevar hurled five innings but did not return for the sixth. The first overall pick in the 2006 draft allowed four runs on seven hits to fall to 6-12 on the year.

Leo Nunez came on in relief and surrendered a game-changing three-run homer to Grady Sizemore in his inning of work.

Hochevar is listed as day-to-day.
