Seattle inks Reitsma to minor-league deal

Seattle, WA (Sports Network) - The Seattle Mariners signed right-handed relief pitcher Chris Reitsma to a minor-league contract on Thursday.

Reitsma was 0-2 with a 7.61 earned-run average in 26 appearances for the Mariners in 2007. The 30-year-old signed with Seattle prior to last year after spending the previous three seasons with the Atlanta Braves.

In parts of seven pro seasons, Reitsma is 32-46 with a 4.70 ERA and 37 saves in 338 games with the Reds, Braves and Mariners.
