Subway Series opener postponed

Bronx, NY (Sports Network) - Friday's game between the New York Mets and the New York Yankees has been postponed due to rain. No makeup date has been announced, but the game will not be made up Saturday, Sunday or Monday.

The Yankees' Darrell Rasner (2-0) had been scheduled to go against the Mets' Johan Santana (4-2).

As a result of the postponed game, Rasner's turn in the rotation will be skipped. Instead, Andy Pettitte (3-4) will get the nod for the Yankees, going against Santana for the Mets on Saturday afternoon.
