Tigers activate P MillerDetroit, MI (Sports Network) - The Detroit Tigers recalled the injury rehabilitation assignment of pitcher Andrew Miller on Friday and plan to start him against the New York Yankees. Miller started two games for Triple-A Toledo and had a 9.00 earned run average in six innings pitched.
The rookie was 5-4 with a 4.42 ERA with the Tigers before being placed on the
disabled list August 5 with a left hamstring strain. To make room for Miller on the roster, Detroit optioned pitcher Zach Miner to Toledo on Thursday.
