Wang loses to Yankees in arbitrationNew York, NY (Sports Network) - The New York Yankees got the best of pitcher Chien-Ming Wang in salary arbitration on Friday, according to the New York Daily News. The newspaper reported that Wang, a 19-game winner in both 2006 and 2007, was awarded $4 million instead of the $4.6 million he requested.
Wang is a gaudy 46-18 with a 3.74 earned run average in 82 major league games
-- all with the Yankees -- during the regular season. But, the sinker-balling right-hander has struggled in the postseason, going 0-3 with a 7.58 ERA in four starts.
