Yankees activate Betemit off DL

Bronx, NY (Sports Network) - The New York Yankees activated infielder Wilson Betemit off the 15-day disabled list Tuesday.

Betemit, who was on the shelf with a case of pink eye, is hitting just .154 in six games this season.

To make room for Betemit on the roster, the Yankees sent infielder Alberto Gonzalez to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
