Yankees place P Albaladejo on DL with elbow injuryDetroit, MI (Sports Network) - The New York Yankees placed righthanded pitcher Jonathan Albaladejo on the 15-day disabled list on Saturday with an elbow injury. The 25-year-old was pulled in the sixth inning of the team's 6-5 loss to the Detroit Tigers on Friday night. Preliminary tests revealed an elbow strain or sprain, but he'll be sent back to New York for an MRI on Monday. Albaladejo is 0-1 with a 3.95 earned run average in seven games this season.
In a related move, the Yankees recalled right-hander Chris Britton from
Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre to fill out the 25-man roster.
