Anthony leaves Nuggets-Lakers game

Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - Denver Nuggets forward Carmelo Anthony left in the second quarter of Monday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers with an apparent ankle injury.

He was taken to the locker room for X-rays, which were negative. However, Anthony will not return.

As the clock rolled under six minutes, Anthony put up a mid-range jumper, then came down with his left foot landing on the foot of Kobe Bryant. He fell to the ground and grabbed for his ankle, and was helped off the court.
