Bucks set to hire Skiles

New York, NY (Sports Network) - Scott Skiles has verbally accepted an offer from the Milwaukee Bucks to become the team's next head coach, according to the New York Post.

Skiles, who was fired as coach of the Chicago Bulls during the 2007-08 season, was also reported to be a finalist for the New York Knicks job.

The former point guard, who once dished out an NBA record 30 assists in one game, was 9-16 with the Bulls this past season before being released. He is 281-251 in his NBA coaching career with stints in Chicago and Phoenix.
