Hawks' Marvin Williams suspendedNew York, NY (Sports Network) - Atlanta Hawks forward Marvin Williams has been suspended for one game without pay for committing a flagrant-2 foul, the NBA announced on Wednesday. Williams was ejected with 9:09 remaining in the third quarter after knocking Boston's Rajon Rondo to the floor in Game 7 of the team's Eastern Conference quarterfinal series. Rondo was on his way to an easy layup when Williams horse-collared the guard and threw him to the floor. The officials immediately called the flagrant foul, which carries an automatic ejection. Since the Hawks were eliminated from the playoffs on Sunday, Williams will serve his suspension during Atlanta's first game of the 2008-09 season. The North Carolina product started all seven of the Hawks' playoff contests, shooting 41.4 percent from the field. He averaged 11.4 points per game and 4.0 rebounds for the series.
