Jackson shines in OT as Warriors top Spurs

Oakland, CA (Sports Network) - Stephen Jackson scored 29 points, including 12 in overtime, to lead the Golden State Warriors to a 130-121 win over San Antonio.

Baron Davis finished with a game-high 34 points and 14 assists, while Kelenna Azubuike scored 16 off the bench for Golden State, which snapped a two-game losing streak. Andris Biedrins had 13 points and 10 rebounds in the win.

Tim Duncan scored 32 and grabbed 13 rebounds for San Antonio, which had a two- game winning streak snapped. Tony Parker had 31 points and eight assists, and Manu Ginobili scored 20 off the bench for the Spurs, who have lost two in a row against Golden State.

With the Warriors down by two with two minutes left in overtime, Jackson got to the free throw line after being fouled by Ginobili. He made both, keying a 9-0 run as the Spurs fizzled down the stretch.

After the pair of free throws, San Antonio missed a pair of shots, leading to a Jackson three with 1:34 left. On the other end, Ime Udoka missed a jumper, and Davis came down with the rebound, which led to an Azubuike dunk.

San Antonio tried going to Michael Finley, but his three missed, and Golden State came down with the board. After holding the ball, Davis drilled a fade- back jumper to give the Warriors a 126-119 lead with 43 seconds left. Jackson made 4-of-4 free throws to seal the win.

Golden State's overtime performance redeemed the team at the end of regulation. The Warriors went ahead 110-104 when Davis hit a three with 57 seconds left, but couldn't hold it. Duncan scored the next five points to bring the Spurs back.

After San Antonio fouled him, Jackson made a pair of free throws with 10.3 left -- he was 9-of-9 from the line for the game -- Parker drilled a three from the right wing with 6.3 seconds left to send the game to the extra session.

The Spurs went on an 11-0 run in a low-scoring first quarter, but only led 19-17 at the end. Both offenses came to life in the second quarter, but it was a brief Golden State surge that put the Warriors ahead at halftime. Jackson had a layup, and Azubuike sank a three with 2:42 left in the half to put Golden State up six, and the Warriors led 51-44 at halftime.

Golden State drew its lead out to 14 in the third quarter, when Azubuike made consecutive layups to put the Warriors up 72-58. But San Antonio trimmed its deficit to 79-74 heading into the fourth.

The last quarter was a high-octane one, which the teams combining for 71 points. It stayed close down to the end after Duncan made a pair of free throws to give the Spurs a 90-89 lead with 6:43 left.

Game Notes

Each team had 91 field goal attempts, but Golden State shot 51.6 percent to San Antonio's 45.1 percent mark...The Spurs begin a four-game homestand on Thursday against Detroit...The Warriors play at Portland on Wednesday.
