Magic, Nets put winning streaks on the line(Sports Network) - The Orlando Magic will shoot for their fifth straight win when they open a brief two-game homestand versus the New Jersey Nets at Amway Arena. Orlando recorded its fourth straight victory with a 112-110 overtime win against the Chicago Bulls on Monday at the United Center. Hedo Turkoglu scored 17 points, including the game-winning basket with seventh-tenths of a second left in overtime to lead the way.
Jameer Nelson had a team-high 22 points off the bench for Orlando, which will
also host Houston and is 7-6 at home in 2007-08. Dwight Howard chipped in 17
points and 22 rebounds, while Rashard Lewis had 19 points in the win. Keith
Bogans and Carlos Arroyo each had 14 points for the Magic. New Jersey has won two straight and four of its last five games, including Saturday's 97-95 triumph in the opener of a two-game road trip at the Bradley Center. Vince Carter scored 23 points and had seven assists, while Jason Kidd chipped in 17 points and 15 assists. Richard Jefferson added 19 points for New Jersey, which has won two straight on the road and improved to 7-5 away from the Meadowlands this season. The Magic posted a 95-70 win over the Nets on November 16 this season at the Izod Center in the first of four matchups in 2007-08. Orlando has won two straight and three of the last four meetings. New Jersey has lost two straight after winning its last two at Orlando.
