Pacers' Tinsley, Daniels avoid trial on fight chargesIndianapolis, IN (Sports Network) - A pair of Indiana Pacers players, Jamaal Tinsley and Marquis Daniels, avoided a trial Monday on charges stemming from a 2007 bar fight. The Indianapolis Star reported both players accepted diversion agreements and will serve 32 hours of community service. Both must also undergo behavior modification training and if they are able to go two years without getting in trouble with the law, the charges will be wiped from their records.
Tinsley and Daniels were charged with misdemeanor battery and disorderly
conduct in the fight at the 8 Seconds Saloon in February 2007. According to
the indictments, both struck a bar manager during the scuffle. Tinsley also faced two counts of intimidation for allegedly threatening employees.
