Report: Duhon to become a Knickerbocker

Chicago, IL (Sports Network) - The New York Knicks have reportedly agreed to a two-year, full mid-level exception $12 million contract with guard Chris Duhon.

The Chicago Tribune reported Friday that Duhon will sign with the Knicks when the free agent moratorium ends on July 9.

Duhon spent the first four seasons of his career with the Chicago Bulls, who made him a second round pick in the 2004 Draft. Throughout his career, the Duke product averaged 6.9 points and 4.5 assists in 300 games, 159 of which were starts.

The 25-year old had his share of flare-ups with the Chicago coaching staff season, getting fined and benched on two separate occasions.

The Knicks have a bevy of guards currently on their roster, as Duhon will compete with Stephon Marbury, Nate Robinson and Mardy Collins for playing time if he decides to join Mike D'Antoni and the revamped New York coaching staff.
