Wizards' Songaila suspended for Game 6New York, NY (Sports Network) - The NBA announced Friday that Washington Wizards forward Darius Songaila has been suspended one game for striking Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James in the face with his hand. Songaila will serve the suspension Friday when the Wizards host Cleveland in Game 6 of their first round Eastern Conference series.
The incident occurred in the first quarter of Washington's 88-87 Game 5
victory in Cleveland. Songaila is averaging 5.8 points and 2.6 rebounds off the bench in this first round series, shooting 42.1 percent from the floor. The 6-9, 248-pound Wake Forest product averaged 19.4 minutes in 80 games, starting 13, during the regular season. He shot 45.8 percent from the floor and averaged 6.2 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.7 assists.
