Balanced attack helps Kansas dominate 'Nova, advance to Elite EightDetroit, MI (Sports Network) - Brandon Rush paced a balanced Kansas attack with 16 points as the Jayhawks routed Villanova, 72-57, to advance to the Midwest Regional final. Russell Robinson added 15 points and five assists for top-seeded Kansas (34-3), which won its 10th straight game and will now move on to face Davidson for the Midwest crown on Sunday.
Mario Chalmers chipped in with 14 points, while Sasha Kaun finished with nine
points and seven rebounds off the bench for the Jayhawks. Scottie Reynolds had 11 points but was just 4-of-13 from the floor for the 12th-seeded Wildcats (22-13), who were fresh off a thrilling come-from-behind win over fifth-seeded Clemson, and a relatively easy victory over 13th-seeded Siena in the tourney. Shane Clark and Dante Cunningham pitched in with 10 points apiece for Villanova.
