DePaul drops Providence to end skid

Providence, RI (Sports Network) - Caprice Smith scored 15 points and Felicia Chester added 13, leading 24th-ranked DePaul to a 66-55 victory over Providence.

Allie Quigley contributed 11 points with eight rebounds and eight assists for the Blue Demons (12-3, 1-1 Big East), who snapped a two-game skid. DePaul shot 51 percent from the field and held Providence to just 36 percent.

Mi-Khida Hankins matched a career-high with 20 points and Kendria Holmes added 11 for the Friars (10-5, 0-2), who have lost two in a row. Providence made only 4-of-26 shots in the second half after shooting 58.3 percent in the opening 20 minutes.
