Georgia Tech's Joseph gets new contractAtlanta, GA (Sports Network) - Georgia Tech women's basketball coach MaChelle Joseph received a new four-year, $1.3 million contract on Monday. Joseph has guided the Yellow Jackets to consecutive 20-win seasons and has an 84-66 mark in her five seasons as coach of the team. This past season, Georgia Tech went 22-10, the most victories since the Yellow Jackets joined the Atlantic Coast Conference in 1979-80. Additionally, Georgia Tech has reached the NCAA Tournament in back-to-back seasons for the first time in school history. "We have been given a great opportunity to build something special at Georgia Tech," Joseph said. "We have great kids and an administration that is committed to building a national power in women's basketball."
