Golden Eagles soar, upset 23rd-ranked Blue Demons

Milwaukee, WI (Sports Network) - Krystal Ellis drained 16 points, and her Marquette Golden Eagles downed the No. 23 DePaul Blue Demons, 65-56.

Angel Robinson added 13 points for Marquette (10-7, 2-2 Big East), which, against its third consecutive ranked foe, broke out of a two-game skid. The Eagles have won five of the last seven meetings against the Demons.

Allie Quigley netted 16 points for DePaul (13-4, 2-2), which had a two-game win streak snapped. Natasha Williams scored 12 points while hauling in nine rebounds, and Deirdre Naughton chipped in with 11 points in the losing effort. DePaul blemished its road record, slipping to 5-1 as the visitor.
