Inglese resigns as Boston College's women's basketball coach

Chestnut Hill, MA (Sports Network) - Boston College women's basketball coach Cathy Inglese resigned Thursday.

"I am forever grateful for the rich and rewarding opportunity that Boston College has afforded me for the past 15 years to serve as its head women's basketball coach," said Inglese. "I have learned and grown so much."

Inglese led the Eagles to a 21-12 record and a fifth-place showing in the Atlantic Coast Conference this past season. She posted eight 20-win seasons and made seven NCAA Tournament appearances in the last 10 years.
