Lavender, Buckeyes rout Penn State

Columbus, OH (Sports Network) - Jantel Lavender scored a game-high 22 points and pulled down nine rebounds, helping 19th-ranked Ohio State down Penn State, 89-53, at Value City Arena.

Marscilla Packer donated 12 points and Ashlee Trebilcock added 11 for the Buckeyes (16-4, 7-2 Big Ten), who bounced back from a loss to Minnesota last week.

Tyra Grant paced her club with 16 points and Brianne O'Rourke netted 12 for Penn State (13-8, 4-5), which shot just 33 percent from the floor compared to 58 percent for Ohio State.

Ohio State led 47-24 at the break, and cruised from there.
