Ninth-ranked Baylor outlasts Iowa State


Ames, IA (Sports Network) - Jessica Morrow scored a game-high 18 points, as ninth-ranked Baylor topped Iowa State, 59-54 at Hilton Coliseum.

Angela Tisdale poured in 14 for the Lady Bears (23-3, 11-2 Big 12), who got a 10-point, 10-rebound performance from Rachel Allison.

Jocelyn Anderson scored 14 points and pulled down a game-best 11 boards to lead the Cyclones (16-10, 5-8), who shot a dismal 34.5 percent from the floor. Alison Lacey had 13 points and Amanda Nisleit 12 in a losing cause.

Iowa State led by four at the half, but doomed themselves with an 8-for-29 shooting performance in the second half.
