Spartans scorch UW-GB PhoenixEast Lansing, MI (Sports Network) - Raymar Morgan scored 24 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead seventh-ranked Michigan State over Wisconsin-Green Bay, 93-75. Kalin Lucas scored 17 points and dished out nine assists, as Michigan State (12-1) has now won nine straight and improved to 7-0 at home. Drew Neitzel dropped 16 points, while Goran Suton and Durrell Summers each had 10 for the Spartans, who will host Minnesota on January 5.

chipped in with 17 points, and Bryquis Perine tallied 10. Randy Berry scored
11 points and grabbed seven boards for the Phoenix. Green Bay surprised Michigan State early and matched them basket-for-basket. But a 12-5 run, capped by a Neitzel three-pointer, put the Spartans up 16-11 with 15:18 to play. With 13:58 left in the first half, Summers hit a jumper that started a 14-5 run, during which Summers and Lucas scored all 14 points for the Spartans. Lucas hit a three with 10:47 remaining to close the run and put MSU up 32-20. A 10-0 run left the Spartans ahead 48-30 with 1:58 to go in the half. Suton finished the run off with a jumper, and Michigan State eventually took a 53-36 lead into the break. The second half was dominated by the Spartans, as Green Bay never pulled within 14 points of Michigan State, trailing by as many as 24. Game Notes Saturday's matchup was Green Bay's eighth road game in its first 12 contests...Michigan State leads the all-time series 6-0...Coming into the game, Green Bay ranked in the top-10 free-throw shooting teams in the nation at 78.5 percent...The Phoenix also have been committing just 12.6 turnovers a game, which ranks them in the top-25.
