Tennessee trounces Oral RobertsWest Lafayette, IN (Sports Network) - Angie Bjorklund drained four three- pointers and finished with 16 points, as the top-seeded Tennessee Lady Vols easily handled the 16th-seeded Oral Roberts Golden Eagles, 94-55, in the first round of the Oklahoma City Region of the NCAA Tournament. Candace Parker, a national player of the year candidate, was limited to 18 minutes of action due to foul trouble, but she still ended up with 14 points and four boards for the Lady Vols (31-2). Alexis Hornbuckle and Alberta Auguste each netted 13 points for Tennessee, which will tangle with ninth- seeded Purdue in the second round on Tuesday.
Jenny Hardin led the way for Oral Roberts (19-14) with 16 points, while Rachel
Watman logged 15 points and six assists. Tennessee drilled seven three-pointers in the opening half and used a 16-2 run en route to a 48-34 lead at the break. The Lady Vols, who are now a combined 41-0 all-time between first and second round NCAA Tournament games, cruised in the second half and came away with a 39-point victory.
