Terrapins cruise past HuskersCollege Park, MD (Sports Network) - The duo of Marissa Coleman and Kristi Toliver tallied 19 points apiece to lead the Maryland Terrapins to a 76-64 victory over the Nebraska Huskers in second-round NCAA Tournament action at the Comcast Center. Crystal Langhorne added 18 points and collected 12 rebounds in the win for Maryland (32-3), which will take on fourth-seeded Vanderbilt in the "Sweet 16".
Yvonne Turner posted a game-high 23 points to pace Nebraska (21-12) in the
losing effort. Maryland shot a mere 33.3 percent from the field during the first period of play, but a 13-of-14 effort at the charity stripe allowed the Terrapins to take a slim 34-33 lead into the break. The Huskers were held to a meager 37.1 percent from the floor during the second stanza as the Terrapins rolled to the 12-point victory. The Terrapins were held to just 40.0 percent shooting from the field, including 6-of-23 from beyond the arc in the loss.
