Third-ranked Kansas crushes overmatched YaleLawrence, KS (Sports Network) - Darnell Jackson scored 20 points on 9-of-12 shooting, as third-ranked Kansas rolled to an 86-53 win over Yale at Allen Fieldhouse. Mario Chalmers and Darrell Arthur each scored 11, and Brandon Rush had 10 for Kansas (13-0), which has won six games by at least 30 points this season. Cole Aldrich led the Jayhawks with seven rebounds.
Porter Braswell had 13 points for Yale (3-7), which has lost two straight
after a two-game winning streak. Eric Flato had 10 points for the Bulldogs. Kansas put the game away, effectively, in the first half. After a Paul Nelson dunk brought Yale within 18-9 just past the midway point of the stanza, the Jayhawks went on a 15-2 run. Jackson had six points and ended the surge with a dunk to put Kansas up 33-11. The Jayhawks also scored the final five points of the first half and went into halftime with a 42-19 lead. Jackson opened the second half with a three-point play and a layup, and Rush added a three to give Kansas a 31-point edge, and the Jayhawks cruised from there.
