Top-ranked UConn routs DePaul in Big East tourneyHartford, CT (Sports Network) - Renee Montgomery scored 19 points as top- ranked Connecticut doused DePaul, 86-67, in the quarterfinals of the Big East tournament. Tina Charles added 16 points for the Huskies (30-1), who reached the 30-win mark for the third straight season and move on to face Pittsburgh in the semifinals on Monday. Freshman Maya Moore chipped in with 14 points and 15 rebounds.
Allie Quigley finished with 17 points for DePaul (20-11), which was coming off
a hard fought 73-69 win over Marquette in the first round. Caprice Smith
netted 12 points and five rebounds, while Natasha Williams had 10 points and
five boards.
