Croom gets extensionStarkville, MS (Sports Network) - Mississippi State University extended the contract of head football coach Sylvester Croom for two years, taking him through the 2011 season. The extension requires approval by the Board of Trustees, Mississippi Institutions of Higher Learning. Croom, the consensus Southeastern Conference Coach of the Year, led Mississippi State to an 8-5 record this past season. That included a win over Central Florida in the Liberty Bowl.
