Sooners squash Bearcats; Cincy QB Grutza breaks ankle


Norman, OK (Sports Network) - Sam Bradford completed 29-of-38 passes for a career-high 395 yards with five touchdowns, as the fourth-ranked Oklahoma Sooners walloped the Cincinnati Bearcats, 52-26.

DeMarco Murray rushed for 88 yards and one touchdown for the Sooners (2-0), while Chris Brown added 71 yards on the ground and one score. Ryan Broyles caught seven passes for 141 yards and a touchdown. Jermai Gresham added seven grabs for 93 yards and two scores.

Cincinnati quarterback Dustin Grutza completed 19-of-29 passes for 218 yards with a touchdown and an interception before he was wheeled off the field with a fractured right ankle in the fourth quarter. Mardy Gilyard had seven receptions for 119 yards for the Bearcats (1-1). He also returned a kickoff 97 yards for a touchdown.
