Anderson keeps starting job

Berea, OH (Sports Network) - Cleveland Browns coach Romeo Crennel said on Wednesday that he will stick with Derek Anderson as the team's starting quarterback.

Anderson, who has performed poorly thus far in leading the Browns to an 0-3 record, will be under center when Cleveland plays in Cincinnati on Sunday.

"Anderson is the starter and (Brady) Quinn will be ready," Crennel said. "I'm not going to go into the what-ifs, the whens, the where, the how long or anything like that. The decision was made and that's what it's going to be. We're going to go forward."

In three games so far this season, Anderson, who made the Pro Bowl last season, is 43-for-93 with just 405 yards and two touchdowns while also getting picked off five times for a quarterback rating of just 43.5. He has also fumbled the ball three times, but has yet to lose one.

Cleveland has managed a league-low 26 points in its three games this season.
