Browns ink Dorsey to extension

Cleveland, OH (Sports Network) - The Cleveland Browns signed quarterback Ken Dorsey to a three-year contract extension on Wednesday.

The 26-year-old Dorsey, a seventh-round draft pick of San Francisco in 2003, has appeared in just 13 NFL games, including only one with Cleveland in 2006. During his career, Dorsey is 171-of-317 passing for 1,712 yards with eight touchdowns and 11 interceptions.

"We are glad to get this done with Ken (Dorsey)," said Browns general manager Phil Savage. "Ken has been a vital part of our offensive production this year and we look forward to having him as part of our team going forward."

Dorsey, who is Cleveland's No. 3 QB behind Derek Anderson and Brady Quinn, was traded from the 49ers to the Browns last season.
