Denver's Russell leaves game against KC on stretcher

Kansas City, MO (Sports Network) - Denver Broncos wide receiver Clifford Russell left Sunday's game against Kansas City with a possible head or neck injury.

On a kickoff in the fourth quarter, Russell charged down the field and was met head-on by the Kansas City wedge. He fell to the ground and remained there for several minutes before being taken off the field on a stretcher with his head immobilized.

He was taken to a local hospital for further evaluation.
